FabLab House at Solar Decathlon Europe 2010
Fablab House, the collaboration with IaaC, finished construction this June and presented at Solar Decathlon Europe 2010. Fablab House is extreme case of DIY with advanced digital fabrication tool, such as CNC Milling machine and laser cutting machine. The construction was initiated at IaaC, Barcelona, and finished in Madrid. The total construction took about two months.
FabLab House
We have been working on FabLab House project as the selected researcher at IaaC since last year and finally finished the design phase of the project. IaaC held the open public event for celebrating the starting day of the construction phase of the project.

We have been invited as visiting researcher to IaaC (Institute for advanced architecture in Catalonia) for farther development of their Solar Decathlon Europe entry, FabLab House. The Solar Decathlon was initiated in US in 2002 to challenge for the ever-increasing need for energy. IaaC will be participating the first edition of Europe to be opened June 2010 in Madrid. We have been learning new solar panel technologies, parametric software, and how to use HUGE laser cutter with the other researchers from all over the world. Hopefully, FabLab House will be standing in Madrid by the end of May 2010.
